Elephants

The African elephant is a magnificent being, and sadly his time on earth is rapidly coming to an end. An average of 35,000 elephants every year are being killed by poachers. Their tusks are sold for thousands of dollars, mostly to wealthy Chinese customers who prize ornate ivory carvings. If the slaughter continues at this pace, the African elephant will be extinct in 10 years. These may well be the last days for these majestic creatures. We would desperately like to see a turnaround to this destructive epidemic before it’s too late. 25% of the proceeds from each image purchased will go to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
